I combined a found object of a small wooden house in my room that I have had since childhood with the initial of my first name. I staggered the shapes to make the pattern more interesting, making sure there were some shapes with no letters so that the eye can rest.











I combined the shape of a found object, a high-heeled pump, with the word "pump." I love shoes, especially high heeled pumps, and this pattern with the contracting bright colors, shows a sense of style and excitement.











I combined the shape of a found object, a wooden model of St. Basil's church, which my father brought home from a business trip, with a graphic I found online of a hammer and sickle. This pattern symbolizes life before and after the Russian Revolution.
